Jonathan Huizinga

Jon (aka "Zinger") is originally from Moline, Michigan where he played with the Grand Rapids A's club team during high school. He played at the collegiate D1 level for the Michigan State Spartans from 1999 to 2002.  After school Jon was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers and he played baseball professionally for 14 years.  Jon began coaching part time in 2003 and has since coached at the professional, college and high school levels.  He started the Backyard Baseball Lab in 2011 which has become the Fuel Factory.


Terry Pollreisz

Terry played both college baseball and basketball at the University of Portland.  He was drafted by the New York Yankees in 1968 and the Baltimore Orioles in 1969.  From 1972 to 1983 Terry coached baseball, basketball and football at Westlinn High School in Oregon where he won two State Championships.  He went on to coach college baseball at the University of Portland from 1984 to 1997.  In 1998 Terry took a position as hitting and defensive coach for the Seattle Mariners where he became a minor league manager for four seasons until 2011.


Tyler Jacobson

Tyler is from the Seattle, Washington area and was drafted out of high school in 2002 by the Boston Red Sox but chose to attend Central Arizona College. After his college career he was again drafted in 2004, this time by the Detroit Tigers. In 2007 he went to Europe where he spent two seasons playing for the Regensburg Legionare.


Tod Nissle

Tod is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. He played high school baseball at Paradise Valley High School where, as team captain, he received the 21-out award and was a 2nd Team All-American. After graduating in 2007 Tod went on to play college baseball which is where he found one of his passions in life, kinesiology.  After college he became a Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Certified Weightlifting and Speed and Agility Coach.  In addition to being a Fuel Factory coach, for the 2019 season Tod will be the Varsity Catching Coach at Deer Valley High School.


Andrew Walter

Andrew grew up in nearby Peoria, AZ and attended Cactus High School. He was drafted out of high school in 2009 by the Detroit Tigers but chose to attend college. After playing college ball at the University of San Diego and Yavapai College he was signed by the Houston Astros in 2011. Andrew spent seven seasons with the Astros organization where he was a member of three minor league championship teams and  finished his playing career in 2017 with the AA Corpus Christi Hooks.


Jose Flores

Jose is originally from Oakland, CA but attended Tempe High School here in Arizona. After high school he played college baseball at South Mountain College, Gateway College and the University of Science & Arts in Oklahoma. In 2015 he was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2016 he won a Pacific Association championship with the Sonoma Stompers and more recently has played in the Frontier League and the Czech Extraliga in Europe.


Jared Bell

Jared is from Newburg, Oregon where he attended Clackamas High School. After graduating he played at Scottsdale Community College where he met Jon Huizinga. He then played at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and most recently at Mount Marty College in South Dakota, where he plans to return for his senior season. Jared is still actively pursuing his college career and is a trainer and coach at Fuel Factory during the off-season.
